Article 6 of the Convention requires Parties to undertake certain measures to reduce or eliminate releases of POPs from stockpiles and wastes, such as the development of appropriate strategies for identifying PCB in equipment/articles/wastes or contaminated sites, or measures to ensure safe and environmentally sound management of wastes containing PCB.
